This site has been designed for the residents and customers of Lower Providence Township to improve the tax collection process.  It contains information on County & Township Bills, School Bills along with fee and billing schedules, office hours and contact information.  Please use the links above for further information.


What's New for 2018?
NEW TAX COLLECTOR
Kirsten Deal has Stepped down as tax collector and Michael Deal is now the new Lower Providence Tax Collector.  The only change is who to make your checks payable to.  If you are paying your taxes yourself please make checks payable and mail to:

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN LOCATION AND HOURS FOR IN PERSON PAYMENTS
I will be at the Shoemaker House in the Township complex.  The Shoemaker House is the first building on the right.  Signs will direct you to the building and the room for paying your taxes.  The township is paving the parking area and making the building ADA compliant but those renovations may not be complete by the March collection dates.  Please be careful if they are not complete.

The township employees cannot accept payments or answer questions about taxes so if you have any questions please contact the tax office. Email is preferable if possible.  If you leave a phone message please speak slowly and clearly and leave your name, parcel number or address and a brief message.  We will try to return all calls with 48 hours or less.  The contact information is on your bill and the flyer that came with it.

NO Tax increases for Montgomery County & Lower Providence Township in 2018
Montgomery County millage rate is 3.459.  MCCC millage rate is 0.390 Lower Providence Township millage is 1.767.  The total millage for County and Township is 5.616


What's New for 2017?

Due to the School Board not finalizing the millage rate until June 27th the School Bills were sent out a week later than normal and the due dates for the discount and face periods have been adjusted accordingly.  See the back of your bills for payment details.   However, we are not able to adjust the final due date of 12/31.  Any bills unpaid as of  01/01/18 will be sent to Montgomery County Tax Claim for collection.
